The WorkComp Advisory Group Becomes Oceanus Partners

New name and expanded mission for insurance sales consultants Susan Toussaint and Frank Pennachio

Lutz, Fla. (May 6, 2013) – The Work Comp Advisory Group has changed its name to Oceanus Partners to reflect its training and consulting work with commercial insurance agencies and carriers representing group health as well as property and casualty.

“Clients encouraged the rebranding,” said Principal Frank Pennachio.  “Our sales strategies to differentiate agencies and carriers apply both inside and outside the work comp marketplace.” Oceanus Partners provides agents and brokers the education, tools and consultation services to equip them to attract and retain larger, more profitable clients.  Strategies revolve around consultative sales, implementing processes to replicate success and aligning employers’ risk-and-benefits needs with appropriate products and services.

The firm’s consultative focus appeals to benefits brokers who are evaluating sales and service processes in light of The Affordable Care Act and Health Care Exchanges.  Oceanus Partners offers specific programs to help agents demonstrate value to large employer groups, such as identifying and reducing overcharges and overpayments.

“Employers are desperate to bend the healthcare cost curve,” said Principal Susan Toussaint.  “Helping organizations reduce healthcare spending by as much at 15 percent a year through technology and data analytics delivers the kind of value that cements agency-employer relationships.”

Insurance carriers also recognize the value of working with a firm that understands the broker-agency mindset and Oceanus Partners’ clients include regional insurance carriers.  “We help carriers refine their distribution channel messaging and engagement strategies to align with their agency appointments and produce winning outcomes for all parties,” Toussaint said.

Despite the name change, Oceanus Partners remains committed to its “leading with workers’ compensation” approach. “Workers’ compensation is unlike any other type of insurance and few agents understand the opportunity it offers to impact employer outcomes,” said Pennachio.
